IT Manager Position Filled

Candidate must have current Microsoft 2000/2003 MCSA/MCSE certification with demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills in a production environment. Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years in hands-on administrative/maintenance experience in a multi-site, large install base with extensive knowledge of Windows XP/7 and Windows Server 2005/2008.

Energy Analyst

The Trend is Blue provides strategic advice to UK and international companies, helping them grow and profit from the low-carbon economy while managing their impact on climate change. We help clients address carbon/energy and climate change as a strategic business issue, enabling them to understand and realise opportunities and mitigate risks.
The key responsibility of the Analyst is to conduct data research and analysis, and develop and communicate insights from this as part of a project deliverable.

Closing date: ongoing. Reports To: Senior Consultant

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Conducting primary and secondary data analysis
  • Executing analytical tasks on client projects, which will include at least some of the following: carbon foot printing, market analysis; business and financial analysis; policy analysis
  • Extensive data modelling on Excel

Key skills:

At interview candidates are required to demonstrate evidence of the following skills and abilities:

  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills (in particular where applied within a business or financial context)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office suite of tools
  • Experience in statistical packages helpful, but not required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree educated (or equivalent); graduates with at least a 2:1 level of achievement (or equivalent) are strongly preferred. 2nd/further degree advantageous
  • Knowledge of carbon management, climate change, and environmental sustainability is an advantage but not required
  • Specific knowledge of ICT industry and technology is an advantage but not required

Office Manager Position Filled

The Trend is Blue is looking for a well presented professional with excellent organisational, IT and communication skills. The ideal candidate will already have an awareness of current environmental issues as well as an interest in global energy efficiency developments. The Office Manager will be expected to take a firm interest and gain a good understanding of the company’s business, and hence progress to an overall Division Manager position.

The role is varied and often involves working in a high pressure environment. We require a candidate with excellent prioritisation skills, capable of paying careful attention to detail; as such the vacancy will suit a graduate, with a minimum 2:1 grade.

Due to the expanding nature of the business a linguist with fluency in a language spoken in developing countries is preferred.

You will be able to demonstrate experience working in a similar position, including invoicing, payroll and HR.

Experienced energy and carbon auditor Position Filled

MSc in Renewable Energy Technology and Sustainability
Audits in eg BREEAM, EPC and LEED
Graduate in Geography, Environment Studies, Environmental Science or similar; 

Understanding of Carbon and Carbon Management

Junior/ Administrative Assistant Position Filled

Are you looking for a position working within a fun, lively and positive environment and that will utilise your people and organisational skills? Interested in the environment? Based in bright, spacious and friendly offices, we are looking for a confident and outgoing individual who possesses experience working in a busy receptionist/administrative capacity. The position is a varied one and will involve working alongside the Office Manager in providing a first class and efficient reception service to all visitors and internal staff. This is a busy and often demanding role where the ability to juggle a variety of duties at any one time and under pressure while remaining calm is a must. Previous experience in a similar role and good working knowledge of MS Office applications including Outlook is also essential.
